|[ Etc ] Kukkiwon, Openly Recruits Director Candidates Until 30th of This Month|
Kukkiwon is openly recruiting director candidates.
The four areas of recruitment are economics, law, media, and Taekwondo. Applicants must choose one area and cannot apply for more than one area.
Applicants must fulfill the qualification requirements such as having extensive knowledge and experience regarding each area, and either working or have experience working in the related field.
In particular, a person who either falls under the grounds for disqualification pursuant to Article 12 of Articles of Association of Kukkiwon or a current executive and employee of an organization appointed as an ex officio director (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; World Taekwondo; Korea Taekwondo Association; Taekwondo Promotion Foundation) cannot apply.
The application period is 15 days from December 16th (wed), 2020 to 30th (wed). The application is accepted only by registered post and e-mail.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 applying in person is not allowed.
Required documents for application are ¡âDirector Candidacy Application Form (including 1 photograph), ¡âResume, ¡âAbstract of the Resident Registration Record Card, ¡âJob Performance Plan, ¡âConfirmation of Disciplinary Actions Dispensed to Candidate for Director of Kukkiwon, ¡âWritten Oath Confirming Absence of Disqualifying Matters of Executives, ¡âFinal education certificate, career certificates, and related licenses which can verify education, career, and qualification, etc., ¡âAgreement for Background Check, etc., and documents should either be in the national language (Korean) or English.
In case of foreign nationals, documents issued by the government of the relevant country may substitute for the abstract of resident registration record card, final education certificate, a career certificate, and related licenses for foreign nationals.
The application for registration will not be accepted if the documents required according to the open recruitment are lacking or does not follow the specified form.
In addition, the ¡°Confirmation of Disciplinary Actions Dispensed to Candidate for Director of Kukkiwon¡± must be submitted after receiving a confirmation from the organization where the applicant used to be or is currently affiliated with, and only the confirmation issued by the relevant organization (institution) during the open recruitment period is valid.
All of the submitted documents will not be returned, and if the facts are different from the contents of the documents, then the selection may be canceled.
Kukkiwon formed the Director Recommendation Committee on December 10, appointing ten members, and held the ¡°1st Director Recommendation Committee Meeting¡± on December 15 to review and decide all matters related to the open recruitment.
After the open recruitment of director candidates is complete, the Director Recommendation Committee(Chairperson Song Bong-sup) will check the submitted documents for applicants and proceed with screening to select director candidates.
The Director Recommendation Committee will determine the screening criteria based on the relevant regulations, and by screening the documents, candidates for four areas, including economics, law, media, and Taekwondo, will be selected and recommended to the Board of Councils.
